Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Louisville, KY 40202 (Kentucky nursing jobs) Facility : Main Perianesthesia PACU, 2nd Floor Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7 : 30pm - 8 : 00am (12-Hour Nights) Hours per Week : 36 (Guaranteed hours) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800 Number of Beds : 18-bed PACU unit EMR : Cerner-Surginet Scrubs : Surgical scrubs provided by hospital PACU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience At least 3 years of ICU or Critical Care RN experience Proficiency in ventilator management, medication drips, arterial line management, lumbar and EVD drains, and dysrhythmia identification Ability to float within the PACU as needed Strong critical thinking, independence, reliability, and teamwork skills Transplant (kidney / pancreas) nursing experience preferred PACU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients from diverse specialties, including general surgery, neurology, transplant, thoracic, and vascular Monitor and manage patients following ASPAN guidelines and acuity-based nurse-to-patient ratios (ICU 1 : 2, Med Surg 2-3 : 1, initial recovery 1 : 1) Operate advanced clinical equipment such as ventilators, Alaris pumps, and EKG machines Administer and manage medication drips, arterial lines, lumbar and EVD drains Identify and respond to dysrhythmias and critical changes in patient status Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Advocate for patient safety and maintain a supportive clinical environment Demonstrate flexibility to meet departmental needs, including weekend and on-call requirements Take the next step in your nursing career with this rewarding PACU RN travel job in Louisville, KY.
