A Human Resources and Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing HR functions and processing payroll for an organization. Here are the key aspects of this role :
Core Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration
- Process weekly and biweekly payroll accurately and on time
- Enter and maintain employee pay information, including salaries, hourly rates, bonuses, deductions, and withholdings
- Ensure proper processing of payroll taxes and benefit deductions
- Handle multi-state payroll filings as needed
- Post employment advertisements
- OSHA : Oversee and responsible for Safety reviews and compliance
- Unemployment insurance
Benefits Administration
Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policiesConduct benefits orientations and enrollment for employeesAssist employees with benefits inquiries and claims issuesCoordinate with benefits vendors and partnersHR Functions
Maintain employee records and HR information systemsImplement employee onboarding and offboarding processesEnsure compliance with employment laws and regulationsConduct background checks and employment verificationsAssist with employee relations issuesMaintain job descriptionsTimely performance reviews by managersRequired Skills and Qualifications
Excellent organizational and time management skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyProficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office suiteKnowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practicesAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationExcellent communication and interpersonal skills3-5 years of relevant HR and payroll experienceExcellent communication skillsWork in a team-oriented environmentAdditional Responsibilities
