Job descriptionKnowledge of water and sewer systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance procedures. Knowledge of operation and maintenance of machines and equipment such as backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and dump trucks. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and varying environmental conditions. Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members. Ensure that work is performed efficiently and according to established procedures and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress. Provide training to crew members on safety protocols, equipment operation, and job-specific tasks. Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team. Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and meets safety standards. Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of workmanship and adherence to standards. Communicate effectively with team members and provide regular updates to management. Identify and address issues that may arise during projects. Collaborate with other departments to resolve challenges and ensure smooth operations. Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly. Other duties as assigned
WATER & SEWER UTILITIES - Crew Leader II
DESCRIPTION
Responsible for leading a team of workers engaged in the maintenance, repair, and construction of water and sewer infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma / GED is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in water and sewer maintenance, construction, or a related field is required, including experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- A Valid Texas Driver's License is required at the time of placement and a clean driving record.

This position is an essential service position and will require providing services during emergency situations.
PAY RATE
$18.29 per hour
