Required Experience and Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred but not required
- At least 10 years’ experience working as an assistant project manager or project manager in the construction industry for a General Contractor or Subcontractor
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of construction means and methods
- Good understanding of principles, methods, and techniques of architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and / or electrical engineering
- Ability to negotiate with the client and subcontractors.
- Good oral & written communications skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Position Responsibilities :
Manage multiple projects simultaneously ranging from $1M to $30M in valueProduce a project folder for the Ward Humphrey superintendent to use in managing the on-site constructionRemain in contact with the client and superintendent daily throughout the project to ensure the progress is meeting the scheduleCreation of Baseline CPM schedule and subsequent weekly updatesPreparation of Schedule of ValuesPreparation, submission, and follow-up of Owner Payment ApplicationsLead weekly Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings as requiredPrepare start-up and close-out Submittal RegistersSolicit, prepare, submit, and track all required submittalsSupport the Field Superintendents by making sure they have what they need, as they need itDevelop subcontractor / vendor scopes of workGenerate and issue subcontracts and purchase ordersManage all financial aspects of projects including monthly review of cost reports and preparing of over / under figures for management reviewWeekly review and approval / disapproval of project invoices and subcontractor payment applicationsGenerate, submit and track RFI’sPrepare, submit, and track Change Proposals and Change OrdersSolicit, prepare, submit and track all required project close-out documentsWard Humphrey Benefits :
