The purpose of this position is to provide 24 / 7 oversight of efficient operations to meet the holistic needs of the patients and families served. Demonstrates high-level leadership accountability in assuring staff competency, financial responsibility, and enhancing Kaweah Health's mission and vision to achieve strategic priorities.

Qualifications :

License / Certification Required :

CA RN license

BLS

Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire / transfer.

Education Preferred : Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Experience Preferred : Clinical area expertise Supervisory experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills, critical thinking and creative problem solving.

Job Responsibilities :

Ortho Neuro Unit

Traumatic and elective orthopedic injuries including surgical and non-surgical treatment, post stroke / TIA management, neurological disorders (seizures, acute confusion, hydrocephalus, etc.), neck and spinal surgeries, other non-critical medical conditions (pneumonia, wound infections, unmanaged diabetes or blood pressure, etc).

Unit details :

• Number of total positions on Unit : approx 100
• Average patient ratio : RN 1 to 5 patients, CNA 1 to 7-9
• Total number of beds in the unit : 36
• Average census, census range : 34, frequent discharges and admissions

Length of Patient Stay : average length of stay 4-5 days, do have long term patients pending placement

Pay Range : $59.92 -$89.88
