Job Overview
In partnership with H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, the Division of Cardiovascular Sciences, Section of Cardio-Oncology is seeking an academic non‑invasive general cardiologist for a full‑time position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank.
This is a full‑time 12‑month salaried faculty appointment and carries attending staff privileges at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa General Hospital and affiliated hospitals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral / Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
- Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
- For Associate or Full Professor – normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.
- Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent required and maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan.
- Candidates must be board‑certified in Internal Medicine / Cardiovascular Sciences.
Preferred Qualifications
Fellowship training in cardio‑oncology, certification from the International Cardio‑Oncology Society or proven interests in cardio‑oncology.Appreciate teaching experience with residents and medical students, leadership of outpatient practices, and clinical research / scholarship experience.Level II certification in Echocardiography is preferred.Responsibilities
Participates in inpatient consultations and outpatient care primarily at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.Participates in inpatient general cardiology consult service, non‑invasive call & coverage, reading EKGs and stress tests.Opportunities to participate in Echo Lab and call & coverage; echo reads if certified from a nationally accredited organization.Participates in outpatient clinics; diagnose and treat disorders of the cardiovascular system; mentor medical and / or graduate students, residents, and post‑doctoral fellows.Perform patient exams, order or conduct diagnostic testing, develop ongoing treatment plans, prescribe medicine and coordinate referrals as necessary, conduct early‑detection screenings, maintain accurate charts, and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and administration.Other Duties
Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college / school, or department / unit on university and / or statewide committees.#J-18808-Ljbffr
