Experience in a Level I Trauma Center

Ability to manage high-acuity patients

Familiarity with Epic charting system

Description :

The position involves providing emergency care to adult patients.

The facility operates as a Level I teaching facility.

Over 80,000 patients are treated annually in the emergency department.

The unit manages various emergencies including cardiac, trauma, pediatric, obstetric, and gynecologic cases.

Common patient diagnoses include trauma, burns, surgical, medical, and psychiatric emergencies.

Care is provided to a diverse population across different backgrounds.

Nurses are expected to conduct detailed physical assessments and interventions.

This is a fast-paced environment requiring critical thinking and complex care management.

Skills required include arterial line management, triage, sedation monitoring, and the management of dysrhythmias.

Additional responsibilities may include starting and maintaining IVs and administering vasopressors.

Candidates may need to float within the scope of their practice if necessary.

Previous charge experience is preferred.

Candidates must have a valid nursing license in hand at the time of application.
