MT Strategies, a recruiting firm, is hiring on behalf of a growing construction company in Houston, Texas. This is a hybrid position—you’ll primarily work from home but will be expected to visit clients, attend networking events, and handle in-person meetings as needed.

We are looking for a hands-on Estimator who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment — someone ready to take ownership and steer projects with confidence.

This role owns the full scope of estimating for excavation and utilities projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and profitability across every bid.

You will actively pull in leads, develop relationships, and drive opportunities to win new business, playing a key role in the company’s growth and success.

What You’ll Do :

• Own the full estimating process for site work and site utilities projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
• Leveraging vendor and subcontractor networks.
• Pull in leads, develop relationships, and convert opportunities into awarded projects.
• Work directly with the leadership team to create and strengthen processes that support company growth.
• Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure estimates are aligned with execution capabilities.
• Analyze project costs, labor, and materials to provide competitive yet profitable bids.
• Monitor market trends, client needs, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
• Provide insight and recommendations to leadership for strategic growth initiatives.
