Job description5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role. Background in manufacturing leadership required. Hands-on leader who enjoys being out on the floor and engaging with team members. Strong communicator with the ability to listen, coach, and build trust among employees. Experience with production scheduling, job routing, and workflow management. Proven ability to drive accountability while maintaining a supportive environment.
Position Overview :
We’re seeking a Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations on the production floor, overseeing a team of production personnel. This individual will play a key role in scheduling, planning, and moving jobs efficiently through a custom, job-shop style manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be approachable, strong in leadership, and capable of fostering a positive, team-oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead, manage, and hold production employees accountable for performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Oversee daily production activities and ensure jobs move efficiently through the shop floor.
- Partner with scheduling and planning teams to coordinate workflow and meet customer deadlines.
- Support and coach production staff, promoting open communication and teamwork.
- Identify and resolve production issues, collaborating with maintenance and engineering as needed.
- Monitor productivity and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
