JOB SUMMARY :

As an Emergency Medical Technician Specialist, you will provide crucial first aid treatment and coordinate the transport of ill or injured individuals to medical facilities, functioning as a vital member of the emergency medical team. You will also conduct regular checks to ensure safety protocols and equipment are properly maintained, while preserving order and enforcing regulations concerning personnel and visitors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses and implement appropriate first aid procedures.
• Administer first aid on-site or within the emergency vehicle, including applying splints and performing CPR.
• Communicate effectively with medical personnel to arrange for further treatment and reception of patients.
• Control access to the client site, ensuring that visitors are screened efficiently.
• Maintain a respectful and supportive atmosphere for clients and visitors.
• Monitor the premises, preventing unauthorized entry and addressing safety hazards.
• Document incidents, prepare reports, and maintain control logs as needed.
• Respond to various emergencies, providing assistance in critical situations as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

High School Diploma or GED; previous Emergency Medical Technician experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

This role may expose you to stressful situations, including emergencies requiring physical assistance. You must be capable of handling multiple tasks and maintaining composure in urgent circumstances. Physical requirements include lifting and moving equipment, often exceeding 70 pounds, as well as frequent walking and standing. You may be required to wear protective gear and handle sensitive information.
