About The Position

Job Title : Radiographer II

Profession : Radiographer

Specialty : N / A

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Nights Friday, Saturday, Sunday overnight + on-call 1x month

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of one year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required.

License : Required credentials in the cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty must be current upon hire or advancement.

Certifications : AHA BLS

Must-Have : Graduate of a CAAHEP or JRCERT accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty.

Description :

Under general supervision, performs advanced level professional work in exposing and processing radiographic images and fluoroscopy examinations.

Circulates to other diagnostic radiology areas as assigned by the supervisor.

Recognized as an expert in the field, or participates in a training program to enhance knowledge and skills in specialized radiology areas or modalities.

Operates standard and portable radiology equipment to perform various radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies.

Assists physicians and performs specialized imaging procedures.

Troubleshoots and resolves problems regarding equipment and / or film output.

Acts as a resource and preceptor for other radiographers or students.

May participate in training programs to enhance radiology skills.

Maintains records, inventory, and equipment for the area of primary responsibility.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of the techniques of diagnostic radiography is required.

Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment is essential.

Ability to prioritize assignments is necessary.

Ability to assess, treat, and care for patients of varying ages is crucial.

Good interpersonal skills are required for effective communication.

Ability to communicate technical information so patients can understand the procedure and what is expected of them is necessary.

Computer skills are required.
