Overview :
The Pediatrics Office Nurse provides professional nursing care for pediatric patients, working independently within accepted nursing practices, medical direction, and hospital policies. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, while also guiding clinical support staff in delivering safe and effective treatment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care : Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborative Teamwork : Work closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate medical records and report changes promptly.
- Medication Administration : Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Patient Education : Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Support & Advocacy : Provide emotional support and advocate for patient rights.
- Compliance : Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Professional Development : Stay current on medical advancements and best practices.
- Other Duties : Perform additional tasks as assigned.
