Financial Analyst II
The Financial Analyst II serves as the key financial resource. Provides financial analysis required to support the goals and objectives of Baylor Scott and White (BSWH). 100% onsite Monday - Friday, daytime hours.
Essential functions of the role include :
- Providing financial analysis support to administrators, department directors, and others as directed or required, to assist in the efficient and cost-effective operation of BSWH.
- Preparing the operating and capital budget(s) for assigned areas.
- Preparing the 5-year financial operating forecast to include statistics, payer mix, payments capital, etc.
- Preparing analysis and presenting and defending findings for any potential capital acquisitions, projects, new services, etc.
- Providing ongoing budget vs. actual revenue and expense variance analysis through review of both standard reports and reports which have been developed specifically for the entity.
- Preparing verbal or written results of analysis of department operating efficiencies and presenting / discussing them with management and others as required.
- Developing and producing Management Reports as required / requested.
- Preparing operating pro-formas for proposed new services / projects / capital as required.
- Understanding financial operations and working with all levels of assigned areas, finance, clinical management / personnel to ensure the accuracy of the analysis.
- Providing financial analysis and recommendations for lease vs. buy decision relating to new equipment.
- Serving as liaison between the assigned area and Decision Support Services and other finance areas of BSWH.
- Maintaining professional growth through participation in educational programs and professional organizations and activities to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.
- Conducting finance training for BSWH personnel as directed.
