About The Position

• Previous charge experience
• Patient ratio experience : 2 : 1

Description :

This position requires a registered nurse to work in the cardiovascular intensive care unit during night shifts.

The nurse will provide care for critically ill patients, including those recovering from cardiac surgery.

Responsibilities include arterial line management, central line care, and ventilator management.

Nursing staff will assist with chest tube insertion and management of BiPAP and CPAP.

Administration of blood products and management of IV sedation will also be needed.

Knowledge of chest drain management and infection prevention is essential.

The role requires familiarity with monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms and ABGs.

A strong emphasis is placed on providing care for patients with multi-system organ failure and chronic / acute renal failure.

The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory and physical therapy.

Floating to similar units may be required based on facility needs.

Physical demands include the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage critical situations effectively.
