Position Overview
The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing a group of projects, Lead PMs and support PMs. The goal is to ensure a long-lasting relationship with a customer who has multiple projects with LGVT. The Portfolio Manager also is responsible for mentoring, coaching, recommending promotions, mid-year and end-of year evaluations for their direct reports. This is an opportunity to contribute to the growth in North America and the expansion of the Project Management organization. This position reports to the Director of Project Management.
Primary Responsibilities
Owns executive level relationships
Documents and suggests contract changes to better protect VT. Works with legal for contracting framework or process for scoring contracts"
Manage financial performance across projects
Can identify a technical risk, educate the engineering & software team on what our risk appetite is, and guide the technical decision that benefits the project & customer
Strategically collaborates with the Commissioning Manager to continually improve PM / Cx practices based on team experience.
Can see risks happening on other projects, and is proactively planning on how to mitigate them on current project
Has weekly 1 : 1 with direct reports
Active participant in strategically leading continuous improvement for Project Management processes. Identifying gaps and implementing best practices.
