Kennedy Jenks is seeking experienced Senior Construction Managers to join our expanding team in the Seattle Metropolitan area. As the Senior Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our current major infrastructure projects with solid construction schedules from 3 to 7 years long. The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for managing KJ field scope of services and sets the standards for monitoring construction cost, schedule, quality, and KJ staff's safety. Key responsibilities include :

• Acting as the day-to-day team leader for the project.
• Fostering daily interactions with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and relevant authorities.
• Preparing and / or reviewing meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
• Conducting regular meetings with field office staff to address and resolve project-related matters.
• Facilitating the fair yet firm resolution of all project issues.
• Ensuring the project aligns with approved plans, specifications, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinating and overseeing sub-consultants.
• Directing the field services and reviews Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, Field Memorandum, Clarifications, Request for Quotes (RFQs), Change Orders (COs), Work Directive Changes (WDCs), monthly progress payments and recommendations prepared by others, Contractor prepared construction schedules, and documentation control performed by the field staff.
• Monitoring development and distributing timely meeting agendas and minutes.
• Taking responsibility for safety monitoring and mentoring of team members.
• Maintaining a current copy of the agreement with the client and all change orders.
• Overseeing accounting project management tasks, including the review and approval of employee timesheets, project status reports, monthly billing draft statements, aging reports, and more.
• Cultivating a strong relationship with the client, including regular communication regarding construction and contract-related matters.
• Preparing and distributing owner-required project reports.
• Attending and, when necessary, representing the owner at public meetings.
• Actively engaging in mentoring and facilitating the growth of employees by reviewing their work products for quality assurance.
• Demonstrating excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written documentation, to ensure accuracy, relevance, and attention to detail.
