Job Description

Position Summary

Assist Supervisor with day to day management of the team; train team members as needed; machine parts to conform to blueprints / drawings

Duties and responsibilities

The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.  Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons

• Independently set up and operate all HMC machines
• Assist with material shortages
• Cover cells that are missing coverage
• Collaborate with supervisor to manage the scrap / rework process, ensuring parts requiring rework are completed or accurately documented with a scrap report in the system
• Update the schedule / production list and distribute work to the team as needed
• Train HMC team on new or updated processes
• Follow up on prototypes and high priority jobs.
• Focus on continuous improvement using process improvement tools such as 5S
• Ensure that the team follows all safety guidelines
• Operate machine / s while maintaining blueprint specifications
• Assist with checking coolant concentration and filling coolant water tanks.
• Perform initial inspection when needed
• Troubleshoot any issues on HMC machine
• Assist HMC team with any issues
• Assist with process improvement tools, such as DOE
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations
• Use all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and instructed
• Host tier meeting / update tier board

Additional Information

The US hourly pay rate is $25- $29 / hour. Within the range, individual pay rate is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
