Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Mountain View, California. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions, provide technical expertise, and contribute to the success of international financial operations. This position requires a candidate with advanced knowledge of S / 4HANA systems and global accounting practices.

Responsibilities :

• Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
• Manage general ledger operations and perform account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
• Provide expertise on S / 4HANA systems, training team members and serving as a super-user for accounting and consolidation tasks.
• Oversee financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and international accounting standards.
• Handle foreign exchange transactions and ensure proper accounting for international operations.
• Collaborate with team members to manage financial data and address complex accounting challenges.
• Support financial consolidations and reporting for global business operations.
• Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Contribute to project management initiatives related to system transitions and financial data exports.
• Act as a key resource for technical accounting matters and provide guidance to less experienced team members. Requirements - 10+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger management and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in S / 4HANA systems and international accounting practices.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with financial statement audits.
• Expertise in account reconciliations and consolidations for global business operations.
• Familiarity with foreign exchange transactions and international financial processes.
• Proven ability to train and mentor team members in technical accounting systems.
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills for resolving complex accounting issues.
• Project management experience related to accounting systems and financial data handling.
