Database Reliability Engineer

A company is looking for a Staff Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE).

Key Responsibilities

Review and optimize PostgreSQL configuration parameters for resource utilization

Forecast resource needs and propose scaling solutions based on application growth

Design and manage monitoring dashboards and alerting systems for performance indicators

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL cluster management in production environments

Expertise in replication, failover mechanisms, and backup / recovery strategies

Deep understanding of PostgreSQL core architecture and performance tuning

Extensive experience managing large-scale PostgreSQL databases in a 24 / 7 environment

Experience with observability tools for performance monitoring
