Job description

Family Counseling Associates, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist to join our team. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care team, you'll play a vital role in our mission to enhance healthcare for all.

In this position, you will address a wide range of mental health conditions and cater to the diverse needs of our patient population. We are dedicated to providing tailored solutions for our workforce and the patients they serve. From clinical operations like credentialing to business operations such as contracting, we offer the organizational support that empowers our providers to prioritize what truly matters - delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct screenings and assessments for common mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Deliver therapeutic support for mental health conditions utilizing various methodologies including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based practices.
  • Track treatment responses systematically and monitor patients for any changes in clinical symptoms or potential treatment side effects.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

    Required Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field.
  • Active and unrestricted license (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT) in Massachusetts.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of professional experience providing behavioral health services post-master's degree.
  • Experience in delivering direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families.
  • Proficiency with computer systems for professional communications and medical documentation (Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS or other EHR systems).
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness.

    The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is determined by various factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all applicable minimum wage laws.
