We’re seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team and serve as a strategic partner to managers and directors while driving structured onboarding, development, and performance processes across the company.

Location : - Clermont, Florida (On-Site)

Schedule - Monday - Friday (Day Shift)

Compensation : - $67,000 to $80,000 yearly based on experience

Position Overview

The HRBP is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Development Plans (IDPs) to support employees at key milestones : new hire onboarding, Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), and post-performance reviews. This role ensures employees have clear expectations, training resources, and follow-up, while managers are equipped with the tools and guidance to effectively lead their teams. The HRBP will also support job description creation and maintenance, employee relations, compliance, and broader HR initiatives as part of the HR team.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement Points

  • New Hires : Develop and deliver structured IDPs at 30 / 60 / 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year, including reporting lines, mentor contacts, performance expectations, and assigned courses / content.
  • During PIPs : Partner with managers and employees to create focused IDPs with short timelines, weekly check-ins, and accountability for both soft skills and technical goals.
  • After Performance Reviews : Build forward-looking IDPs that establish clear next steps for growth beyond past performance feedback.

Job Description Management

  • Create, review, and update job descriptions across all departments to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with current business needs.
  • Collaborate with directors and managers to define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for new and existing positions.
  • Maintain a central repository of up-to-date job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect current duties, required skills, and reporting structures.
  • Support compliance by ensuring all job descriptions meet labor standards and accurately classify roles (exempt / non-exempt, employee / contractor, etc.).
  • Use job descriptions as a foundation for IDP creation, performance evaluations, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Plan Development & Follow-Up

  • Create IDPs using job descriptions, Predictive Index (PI) data, past experiences, and manager input.
  • Tailor plans to the employee and manager using PI insights.
  • Conduct follow-ups : weekly for new hires or PIPs, monthly / quarterly for others, providing managers with concise progress reports.
  • Employee Engagement

  • Maintain flexible communication channels (text, call, evening conversations as needed).
  • Provide bilingual coverage for Spanish-speaking staff (directly or in partnership with support staff).
  • Engage field workers by connecting IDPs to both technical learning (layout, venting, tool use) and interpersonal growth.
  • Manager Support

  • Provide managers with tailored versions of each IDP, including communication and leadership guidance.
  • Deliver forward-looking input during performance reviews.
  • Create standardized, AI-assisted IDP templates managers can easily adapt.
  • Coach managers on writing clear, measurable job descriptions and performance goals linked to business outcomes.
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of HR generalist or HRBP experience, preferably in construction, trades, or a fast-paced, field-based industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and onboarding best practices.
  • Experience with learning platforms, training assignment, and compliance tracking.
  • Familiarity with Predictive Index (PI) or similar behavioral assessment tools preferred.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized, empathetic, and persistent with strong follow-through
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner effectively at all levels of the organization.
