Douglasville ACE Hardware is looking for a Positive Upbeat employee as Cashier to uphold the Core Values as determined by the management team.

Our Cashier is responsible for register transactions involving the sale and / or return of merchandise.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

Must be able to work Sundays

Customer Service

• Project a positive representation of Ace Hardware.
• Greet customers entering store, finding out what they need assistance in and sending to the correct isle. Radio someone in the department to assist. Thank customers for coming in when they are leaving the store.
• Have a friendly, outgoing demeanor, work well with customers as well as associates.
• Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently. Making sure to scan each and every item.
• Communicate to customer / manager any problem or issue that requires management assistance.
• Continually build product knowledge with classes on ACE Learning portal, learning store layout and product location.

Register Operations :

Front End Appearance and Upkeep :

Education / Training :

High School or GED equivalent.

Need a will to want to work and learn new things in a face paced Retail environment

Experience :

Cashiering in retail a must. Customer service experience

Retail hardware a plus.

Physical Demands :

Must be able to stand for long period of times.

Part Time position.
