Job Summary

Performs duties and responsibilities of a professional chaplain within the assigned areas and / or the various departments of the Prisma Health System.

Essential Functions

Delivers direct service and professional pastoral care to assigned clinical areas which includes availability to serve at least monthly in the On-Call Chaplain rotation.

Works collaboratively with Coordinator of Clinical Pastoral Education as Administrative Supervisor for CPE Students assigned to work in his / her assigned clinical areas.

Serves on interdisciplinary committees as assigned.

Provides training and education pertaining to the nature and scope of Pastoral Care Services to members of the interdisciplinary treatment team and other employees.

Serves as Adjunct Faculty for Clinical Pastoral Education program.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory / Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

Education - Master's degree in Divinity or related field of study.

Experience - One (1) year of experience acquired through completion of Chaplain Residency program at an ACPE, Inc. Accredited Center. Pastoral experience in a congregational setting - Preferred

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

Board Certified Eligible by the Association for Professional Chaplains (APC, Inc.)

Board Certified Chaplain by the Association for Professional Chaplains (APC, Inc.) - Preferred\

Licensed or ordained by faith / denominational group. If applicable, eligible for denominational endorsement to healthcare chaplaincy. When applicable, applicant must attach a signed letter from denominational endorsement official

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of office equipment (fax / copier)

Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database)

Data entry skills
