Job descriptionBachelor’s degree required. 1–2 years of experience in loan processing and closing of commercial loans; residential mortgage closing experience also considered. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven history of positive interactions with borrowers, bankers, and attorneys. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; training provided for proprietary software.

Responsibilities of a Loan Closing Assistant
- Gather and prepare loan documentation packages required to close and fund SBA 504 loans.
- Support Loan Closers in managing the pipeline of deals to ensure timely closings and funding.
- Assist in obtaining all required insurance for loan closings.
- Receive and process approved amendment actions; update tracking reports and internal databases.
- Verify payment of application deposits and processing fees with accounting.
- Prepare and send packages to closing attorneys; receive loan documents and post bond sales.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
