Job Details

Orientation is bi-weekly with upcoming start dates : 10 / 27, 11 / 10.

Facility has 154 beds and offers services including orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, emergency department, behavioral health, and includes 11 multi-specialty physician clinics.

Facility is a Chest Pain Center and Joint Commission Accredited.

Located in Clyde, NC, 20 miles from Asheville, near Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Job Requirements

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

Minimum 2 years of experience.

Must have skills / experience : Step-down / ICU experience.

Required education : Associate Degree in Nursing (AND) minimal.

Schedule Information

Shift : PM.

Weekly guaranteed hours : 36.

Weekend hours : Every other weekend.

Call requirements : None.

Float requirements : Yes.

Unit Specific Information

Unit : Progressive Care (Cardiac specialty).

Role : Registered Nurse (RN).

Shift : PM.

Patient population : Adult cardiac patients.

Common diagnoses / treatments : Cardiac care including post cardiac cath lab patients and cardioversions.

Required skills : Step-down / ICU experience.

Additional Details

Unit profile : Progressive Care department, 4th floor.

Number of beds in unit : 22.

Patient ratios : 4 : 1.

Equipment used : Telemetry.

Electronic Health Record system : Paragon.

Patient population : Adult cardiac patients including post cardiac cath lab patients and cardioversions.

Personality fit : Team oriented, good communication skills, flexible.

Dress code : Navy scrubs; offensive tattoos and non-facility tops are unacceptable.
