  • Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital, Labor & Delivery Unit, Trauma Level II\n
  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025 – End : 1 / 19 / 2026)\n
  • Nursing Shift : 12 Hour Days (6 : 45am – 7 : 15pm)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $2310 - $2470 per week\n
  • Weekend / Holiday Requirements : 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; 2 out of 3 holidays (eve / day of)\n
  • Charting System : EPIC EMR\n
  • Scrubs : Provided by hospital\n
  • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active RN license (Registered Nurse)\n
  • Minimum 1 year recent Labor & Delivery experience in a Level I / II Trauma hospital (within last 3 years)\n
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR (recent use required)\n
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification\n
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification\n
  • AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification\n
  • Ability to perform vaginal exams, circulate C-sections, assist with newborn transitions, and manage postpartum hemorrhage\n
  • Spanish language skills preferred for Arizona healthcare jobs\n
  • \n\nL&D Nurse Responsibilities\n \n

  • Deliver comprehensive care to laboring patients (28 weeks gestation and above)\n
  • Monitor and assess mothers and newborns, including tele monitoring and APGAR assignments\n
  • Titrate drips (Magnesium, Pitocin, insulin, blood) as required\n
  • Assist with C-sections, epidurals, amnio infusions, and newborn transitions\n
  • Collaborate with OB Techs, charge nurses, and in-house OB / Neonatologists\n
  • Float to NICU, Pediatrics, Women's Health, MedSurg, or ICU as needed\n
  • Care for antepartum patients and provide two hours of care for newborns post-delivery\n
  • Participate in SIM lab training for postpartum hemorrhage control\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC system\n
