Travel RN Job Details

Location : Ottumwa, IA 52501 (Southeast Iowa)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Unit : Telemetry (MS / Tele)

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (12-hour day shifts)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week (option for 48 hours / week upon request)

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026)

Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 (with CNA and LPN support)

Electronic Health Record : MediTech

Floating : May float to other units or facilities within a 25-mile radius

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680-$1800

Telemetry RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Medical-Surgical RN experience

BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred

Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult)

Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening (including opiates)

Recent titers (within the last 12 months)

Clear background checks (Iowa SING BG, including Criminal and Child Abuse)

Travel nursing experience preferred but not required

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition

Administer medications, perform assessments, and document care accurately in MediTech EHR

Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Float to other units or healthcare facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed

Maintain compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
