American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of acute care and Level 2 trauma experience for a busy surgical environment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a high-acuity hospital Operating Room handling 50-60 cases per dayPatient population includes ortho (including total joints), neuro (including craniotomies), general / vascular, GYN / Uro, and robotic surgery casesRequired to independently scrub and circulate major cases in a Level 2 Trauma CenterUses Epic EMR and equipment such as Doppler, ultrasound, Neptune, Aquamantis, video systems, lasers, various stapling systems, and specialized surgical tablesDay shift schedule is 4x10s from 6 : 45 to 17 : 15On-call required, up to four 8-hour shifts per 4-week cycleFloating not required except in rare cases between designated facilitiesOrientation sessions are held bi-weekly on MondaysOR-provided scrubs are requiredResponsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for complex surgical procedures in a busy multi-specialty ORWork with a large, well-rounded surgical team performing high-acuity ortho, neuro, and general cases at all timesRobotic surgery team actively working toward Center of Excellence status with current use of three Xi robotsFree parking is available onsiteBi-weekly orientation supports onboarding for new assignmentsTime-off requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis with no set limitations but must be pre-approvedHoliday assignment coverage may be required depending on unit needs\n \n Requirements\n
Active RN license or proof of application (pending license accepted)Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room circulating experience in an acute care setting; 3 years preferredLevel 1 or Level 2 trauma experience requiredBLS certification required; ACLS preferredAt least 1 year of recent Epic EMR experience requiredMust be fully vaccinated for considerationNo local candidates within a 60-mile radius will be consideredFirst-time travelers will not be consideredMust provide two professional references from the past two years, one must be a supervisorCandidates with more than one DUI will not be consideredMust not have worked for the health system within the past 12 months\n Benefits\n
