Hotel General Manager - Dual Property
ABC Investments & Management Company is seeking a General Manager for our Days Inn & Motel6 / Studio 6 Northlake, Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities include the completion of various tasks in order to ensure that the following duties are completed effectively : revenue generation and cost control, daily and other duties completed as required and needed, scheduling, supervision & monitoring, and leadership & individual effectiveness.
HOTEL GENERAL MANAGER EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
Primary Responsibilities
- Supports revenue and cost objectives by revenue generation and cost control using all available marketing and planning tools that maximize return to the hotel
- Avoids wasteful spending (includes not only wasting of goods, but also waste from unnecessary payroll costs & utilities)
- Aims to meet or exceed budgeted Gross Operating Profit
- Addresses all guest complaints
- Responds to all guest reviews and surveys
- Addresses all credit card disputes
- Posts accounts receivable payments
- Double checks all numbers on night audit reports and ensures all daily reports are balanced
- Ensures all accounts payables are handled in accordance with company procedures
- Ensures all accounts receivables are billed in accordance with company procedures
- Checks payroll system daily for accuracy, completes daily payroll reports and submits payroll to HR biweekly
- Controls and monitors inventory so that ordering is done on time in accordance with company procedures
- Completes new hire procedures on time in accordance with company requirements
- Handles employee disciplinary actions promptly and following company policies and procedures
- Creates employee schedules on a timely basis
- Ensures proper supervision of all hotel staff on a daily basis
- Frequently does a walk-through of the hotel and grounds
- Monitors fire and safety systems, and ensures safety and security to the fullest extent possible
- Reports incidents promptly in compliance with company and legal requirements.

Education / Experience
Minimum 2-3 years of hotel experience as GM required - may be combined with 1 year as AGMDegree in hotel management, business or related discipline preferredAbility to plan and organize the activities of othersAbility to express ideas clearly using effective word choice, grammar, & tone both in written and oral communications. Fluent English is a must.Knowledge of local geographic area, area businesses & services, major highway / street information, and community events & attractions are preferredPhysical Requirements
