The Turbomachinery and Heat Exchanger
Analysis and Design group within the Mechanical Systems and
Components (MS&C) directorate is responsible for the design,
development and analysis of Environmental Control System (ECS)
turbomachinery and heat exchangers, as well as electric traction
drive motors. The successful applicant will be primarily
responsible for turbomachinery aerodynamic design and analysis with
occasional need for heat transfer and conjugate heat transfer
analysis. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise on
a variety of projects and programs. You will use your expert
knowledge of engineering discipline and standards, processes and
tools to ensure compliance to customer and program requirements.
Other responsibilities include communicating with Project
engineering teams, conduction of design reviews, presentations to
internal and external customers and contributing to department
process improvement initiatives.
Needs to be
proficient with ANSYS WB, SpaceClaim, CFX or other industry
standard CFD and CHT
package

Design,
modify, and analyze aerodynamic components like centrifugal
compressors, axial fans, turbines, inlets, secondary flow paths,
etc.
Support test activities, define
instrumentation and test plans, analyze test data,
troubleshoot
Prepare and present clear
presentations and reports that summarize the efforts and the key
results
Provide technical oversight to global
engineering teams across time zones
Provide
technical guidance to junior engineers
Ensure
Requirements Validation, Project and Product compliance and Risk
management
Contribute to process Development
and Automation - standard work and best
practices
Engage in and drive Root Cause and
Corrective Action as
needed
Qualifications
YOU
MUST HAVE
Master's
Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related
field with emphasis on turbomachinery aerodynamics and heat
transfer
Minimum of 5 years experience
performing aerodynamic and thermal analysis on turbomachinery
(preference for compressor experience)
Deep
understanding of turbomachinery aerodynamics and thermodynamics
demonstrated through formal education and turbomachinery coursework
and practical experience
Demonstrated ability
to interpret the results of the analysis and propose design changes
as needed to fix problems
Strong working
knowledge of industry standard turbomachinery software (ANSYS,
Cadence, Star CCM+)
Excellent communication and
presentation skills
Ability to collaborate
strongly with members in your team and from other teams in the
organization like Project / Product Development, Systems,
etc

Due to

The annual base salary range for
this position is $133,000.00 - $167,000.00. Please note that this
salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell
considers various factors when extending an offer, including but
not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the
candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as
well as market and business
considerations.
