As the Director of Corporate Sales, you will be responsible for leading all facets of the sales process, including new business development, achievement of revenue and gross profit targets, and active participation in the creation and execution of strategic growth plans for assigned regions.
In this role, you will mentor and support Account Managers by conducting regular performance meetings, providing targeted and constructive feedback, and offering coaching on essential sales techniques such as prospecting, marketing, and presentations. You will also ensure Account Managers have well-defined pre-sales processes in place, including effective call planning and preparation, and provide ongoing education through strategy sessions and regular meetings.
Key Responsibiities
- Oversee all daily Corporate Sales activities.
- Establish clear guidelines for prospecting, client meetings, reporting, and related processes.
- Accompany Account Managers on client calls to provide real-time coaching, feedback, and guidance.
- Support company participation in trade shows and industry events.
- Attend professional training and certification programs as needed (e.g., Avixa, manufacturer training).
- Foster integrated team efforts by providing strategic direction, feedback, and support to achieve company-wide goals related to performance, retention, and growth.
- Manage the administration and timely distribution of sales reports, forecasts, and projections.
- Communicate key sales issues and insights to the management team.
- Oversee staff training and development initiatives; regularly evaluate progress and collaborate with management to ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan that includes market research, revenue forecasts, territory or vertical assignments, key account identification, and strategies for new and existing customer growth.
- Create and maintain a standardized procedure for delivering high-quality customer proposals.
- Ensure all sales staff evaluations are completed accurately and in accordance with company policy.
- Represent the company at project or client meetings as needed, determining appropriate points for your direct involvement in customer relations.
