Join a patient-focused team at University of Iowa Home Solutions (Medical Supply Store), providing crucial support during weekend hours in our durable medical equipment operations. In this PRN role, you’ll facilitate seamless coordination of home-going DME orders while ensuring full compliance with payor and regulatory standards. You’ll act as a trusted liaison among physicians, patients, and internal stakeholders—verifying insurance, securing authorizations, resolving concerns, and educating patients.
This position operates within UIHC’s Medical Supply Store environment, which offers flexible weekend schedules (store hours currently include Saturday and Sunday operations) and the chance to make meaningful impact in patients’ lives immediately post-discharge.
Position Summary
The Durable Medical Equipment Representative provides support to ensure seamless coordination and compliance of home-going Durable Medical Equipment (DME) within the University of Iowa Hospitals and affiliated clinics. This position collaborates one-on-one with physicians, customers, employees, and management to coordinate all DME activities in accordance with legal and UIHC standards.

Expected Work Hours and Location
Generally, 8 : 30 am to 6 : 00 pm with rotating shifts and / or weekends. Days and hours are subject to change with notice.
