Position Title : Landscaper

Department : Design

Pay Range : $25.00-$30.00

Works directly with and reports to : Director of Design

Reporting to the Director of Design, the landscaper is responsible for watering plants and maintaining plant life at Happier. Areas of emphasis will include : small planting projects, moving planters, maintenance assistance of existing plants, working with design, floral, events and maintenance teams.

Principle Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with Engineering and Housekeeping seams to collaboratively ensure all landscaping meets specified standards and all food & beverage outlets and public areas are “in show” status at all times.
  • Ability to thrive in a very fast paced environment and commit to project needs / expectations on an individual basis – adapting, accepting and applying immediate changes.
  • Problem solving in situations and troubleshooting issues before they happen.

Specific Accountabilities :

  • Maintenance organization and inventory of all plant, planters, and equipment assets on and off property.
  • Compiling weekly checklists of landscaping in need of replacement and out-sourced maintenance to review with Director of Design
  • Assist and coordinate on-site installations and communicate scheduled work with relevant in-house departments.
  • Source new and replacement materials for approved projects (locally, nationally, or internationally). At times, with prior approval, traveling to retrieve.
  • Must understand basic plant and landscaping general terms.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned byl management, design team and staff.

    • Required skills and Qualifications :

  • 1-4 years of previous landscaping experience needed
  • Highly organized, extreme attention to detail while multi-tasking
  • Fluency in English both verbally and written; excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work alone or with a team while having a positive attitude

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Adjust to change in hours on a ‘weekly work week’ basis
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs and easily maneuver around a 19 story property
