Overview UI / UX Software Engineer at Cymertek Corporation. This role focuses on designing and developing intuitive, user-friendly software applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create seamless interfaces and optimize the user experience across platforms.

Location & Clearance Location : Annapolis Junction, MD 20701

Clearance : TS / SCI Full Poly (Please note this position requires full U.S. Citizenship)

Position Responsibilities Design and develop user interfaces for web and mobile applications

Implement responsive design to ensure compatibility across devices

Collaborate with product and design teams to refine user experience

Optimize front-end performance for speed and scalability

Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from users

Maintain design consistency and adhere to UI / UX best practices

Required Skills Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular)

Strong understanding of UI / UX design principles

Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD)

Ability to work with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design principles

Preferred / Desired Skills Experience with UI prototyping and wireframing

Knowledge of animation libraries (e.g., GSAP, Framer Motion)

Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG)

Experience with A / B testing and user research

Proficiency in backend technologies (e.g., Node.js)

Understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint cycles

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience. General comment on degrees : Many contracts allow 4-5 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
