Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT and BLS certifications, and proficiency with EPIC in an acute care Level 1 trauma setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an acute care hospital cardiac cath lab with 6 suites
  • Daily caseload averages 10 to 15 cases
  • Adult and pediatric patient population; pediatric experience preferred but not required
  • Dedicated cath lab separate from IR and EP
  • Duties include scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating
  • Uses EPIC EMR, as well as PACS and McKesson cardiology systems
  • 10 hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
  • Rotational call requirements with approximately 8 to 9 call shifts per month
  • 30 minute response time required when on call
  • No floating required
  • Responsibilities focus on supporting cardiac cath lab cases, including scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating
  • Orientation lasts 3 to 5 days and is unit-specific
  • Scrubs are provided by the hospital
  • Call and holiday coverage are required on a rotating basis
  • A primary charge nurse is available on each shift from 0600-1530
  • Mandatory call list is utilized if call requirements are not met

  • Minimum of 1 year recent cath lab experience required
  • ARRT, BLS, and IEMA certifications required
  • Active IL license or proof of application process
  • Experience with EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS systems preferred
  • Cath lab pediatric experience preferred but not required
  • License required if applicable
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive drug screen
