Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in both CT and X-Ray procedures with ARRT (CT and R) certification and at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Outpatient and emergency department setting treating adult and pediatric patients
  • Perform a wide range of X-Ray studies including extremities, abdomen / GI, spine / pelvis, head, chest / thorax, and musculoskeletal imaging
  • Conduct CT exams such as abdomen, pelvis, head / neck, chest, spine, brain perfusion, CT angiographies, and multiplanar reconstructions
  • Perform cardiac CT including pulmonary vein and cardiac calcium score studies
  • Work Friday to Sunday, 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM (3x12 hour day shifts)
  • Occasional floating to other facilities or campuses as needed
  • Uses Siemens CT equipment, PACS, portable X-Ray units (Samsung preferred), and Epic EMR
  • First-time travelers are welcome for this assignment
  • Must complete unit-based modules during orientation (typically 2-4 hours)
  • Strict policy on tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Planned time off (RTO) must be declared before submission; RTO after submission is not accepted
  • Background check must show no open cases
  • Education must be verified and not from schools listed on the Diploma Fraud Florida Education Audit
  • Scrub / dress code details provided upon assignment
  • Team will include cross-department support, especially during floating assignments

    • Requirements

  • Current ARRT certification in CT and Radiography (R)
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of CT and X-Ray experience
  • Outpatient and ED experience required
  • Experience with PACS, portable X-Ray units, Siemens CT equipment required, Samsung X-Ray preferred
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency starting 8-9 IVs per day
  • Experience with infants and pediatric patients preferred
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • License required if applicable
