We're actively seeking a talented Associate Actuary to join our Life Pricing Team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE.

This role is on-site. You'll work at our state-of-the-art Newport Beach headquarters or modern Omaha office.

As an Associate Actuary you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by understanding our consumer's needs, Pacific Life's pricing methodology, and developing our products toward successful market readiness. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 17 people in the Consumer Life Division. You will work closely and collaboratively with numerous areas including Pricing and Product Development, Risk Management, Modeling and Sales within the Consumer Market Division and across the enterprise.

As an actuarial student, you will automatically be enrolled in our Student Actuarial Rotation Program. The purpose of the Program is to develop and broaden the skills, knowledge, and breadth of experience of actuaries across Pacific Life. Students typically rotate every 18-24 months, which aims to expose them to multiple functional areas, products, and technologies. The Actuarial Student Program provides competitive benefits designed to encourage and assist with progress toward the Fellowship designation including paid study time, expense reimbursement for registration fees and study materials, and bonuses and raises associated with passing exams and modules.

How you'll help move us forward :

• Design, price, and implement life insurance products balancing profitability, marketability, and risk.
• Review emerging experience and adjust assumptions and pricing as necessary.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders, including marketing / sales, investment management, valuation, risk management, legal, and operations, to balance the competitiveness, profitability, and risk.
• Monitor industry trends including future of transactional underwriting and predictive analytics.
• Maintain pricing models and implement improvements.

Base Pay Range :

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
