This role directly reports to the Service Department Manager and works closely with the Service Department Equipment Repair Team to maintain and repair recycling equipment throughout the Wasatch Front. Technicians are crucial to keeping our customers’ recycling equipment and programs running efficiently.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Performing all physical duties related to providing maintenance, service, and troubleshooting a variety of recycling equipment (balers, compactors, and conveyors) at customer locations, and maintaining a clean service van and its inventory
- Performing all activities related to reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
- Filling out all paperwork related to each service ticket and day-to-day field technician duties
- Communicating clearly and effectively with clients and team members to provide excellent internal and external customer service
Requirements :
1+ years’ experience reading mechanical assembly drawings, electrical, and pneumatic schematics1+ years’ experience troubleshooting equipment to identify common problemsAbility to use a voltmeter and pressure flow gauges to review and validate circuit amperage, voltage, and pressure levelsExcellent customer service skillsAbility and willingness to travel 25% of the timeAbility to take feedback from customers and team members openly and actively work to improve skill sets and behaviorsField service technician experience is preferred, but not mandatoryMust have a valid US-issued driver’s license, clean driving record, and clean criminal historyAbility to pass a drug testKey Competencies
