American Traveler is seeking an experienced PCU RN with at least two years of recent progressive care experience and a New Mexico or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in a progressive care / telemetry unit with more than 18 beds12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am, three shifts per weekPatient care involves telemetry monitoring and progressive care interventionsFloating between departments and local sites within 20 miles is requiredEpic EMR experience is preferredProvides direct patient care following the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentationWorks collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and supervises LPNs and assistive staffResponsible for administering medications and treatments as prescribedIdentifies and addresses patient and family education and discharge needs throughout careTesting for Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia will occur onsite during orientation and must be passed to proceed with the assignmentCandidates who were previously employed as permanent staff must wait one year before being eligible for travel positions\n \n Requirements\n
Active NM or compact state RN license requiredMust have completed at least one prior 13-week travel assignmentMinimum two years of current experience in a telemetry or progressive care unit with 18+ bedsCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA, American Health and Safety, or Red CrossAssociate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) requiredMust pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) exam prior to or during the first week of assignment; only one retest permittedCandidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted\n Benefits\n
