We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Receiving Quality Inspector to ensure all incoming materials and products meet our quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in quality control processes to maintain our high standards and support our operations.
Location : Goleta, United States
Role : Receiving Quality Inspector
Duration : 6 months or longer
Schedule : 1st Shift (9 / 80A)
Responsibilities :
- Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products.
- Perform required inspections (visual, dimensional, and functional, etc.) on spacecraft components.
- Uses various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, pin gages, and Coordinate Measuring Machine.
- This job has decision-making responsibilities with regards to the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed.
- Inspects and performs tests on mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies related to spacecraft components and sub-assemblies. Inspections vary from close tolerance dimensional checks to general surveillance of the work in progress.
- Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
- Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions.
Basic Qualifications :
U.S. Citizenship required.High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and / or direct experience in a quality assurance or inspection roleExperience utilizing various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, gages, pin gages, and other inspection toolsKnowledge of GD&T with the ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications and related criteriaPreferred Qualifications
