Job Description

Join a leading gear and gear-related manufacturing company serving industries such as steel, bridge, aluminum, aggregate, and mining. You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC / Manual Machine Tools to produce high-quality parts while adhering to safety standards and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC / Manual Machine Tools, including Schiess & Hankook brands.
• Follow work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Perform programming on machine tools by entering instructions, setting tools, and calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Maintain specifications and tolerances while performing operations such as drilling, grooving, cutting, and more.
• Troubleshoot processes, adjust controls, replace worn tools, and sharpen tools as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance by following company and machine manufacturer's instructions.
• Confirm settings by measuring positions on first-run and sample parts.
• Complete required information in company production, preventive maintenance, and quality records.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts through prescribed communication methods.
• Care for and maintain machine tools, tooling, fixturing, equipment, and work area.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large machine shop environment where steel-toed boots are required. Jeans and t-shirts are acceptable attire, with an optional uniform service available. The position requires physical activities such as walking, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and using various body parts for handling tasks throughout the shift.

This is a Permanent position based out of Princeton, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $62400.00 / yr.
