Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Optimize quality of life for residents in skilled nursing, assisted living and / or longterm care settings working alongside an interdisciplinary team that includes medical professionals, psychotherapists and facility staff.
  • Assessment, diagnosis, treatment and medical management of conditions including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, and pre-existing mental illnesses.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation.
  • Provide education to facility staff regarding psychiatric care and patient needs.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and facility policies

    • Qualifications :

  • Unrestricted PMHNP license.

  • Experience working with geriatric population and persons with dementia preferred.
  • Experience working in a post-acute or healthcare setting preferred.
