This is a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities
Monitor DLP technologies to safeguard client and firm confidential data across endpoints, cloud platforms, and collaboration tools.
Conduct DLP incident triage, performing incident management, root cause analysis, and coordinating with legal, risk, compliance, and client-facing teams to ensure timely resolution.
Identify and assess insider threats by correlating DLP alerts with behavioral indicators, access patterns, and contextual data to detect anomalous or high-risk activity.
Response activities may include incident response, incident management, driving remediation or threat mitigation, threat hunting, etc.
Other security operations activities may include identification of weakness (e.g., vulnerabilities, IT policy non-compliance, insecure configurations).
Stay abreast of the latest information security controls, practices, techniques, and capabilities in the marketplace.
Participate in internal skills development activities for information security personnel on the topic of security monitoring and incident response, by providing knowledge sharing sessions.
Incorporate learnings into additional preventive and detective controls.
Document processes and procedures in the form of playbooks and reference guides.
Provide rotational weekend coverage.
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum one year of experience in an analytical heavy field requiring exploring and understanding data and communicating data as a story to influence and persuade.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Ability to quickly learn security products, tools, and processes to assist in advancing the firm's security posture.
Must be interested in pursuing professional certifications or vendor specific products, as required for the role.
Understanding of IT security concepts, including networking and related technologies.
Some practical experience (e.g. intern; college lab experience) performing related activities.
Experience creating workflows, playbooks, and procedures or similar documentation.
Ideal applicant will have exposure to security monitoring, security operations, or cybersecurity incident response, preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment.
Ability to cover rotational weekend duties.
