Summary Of Role
Elevate your career as an Account Manager at NFP, where you will be a catalyst for exceptional client experiences. You will oversee a portfolio of clients with increased complexity in areas such as compliance, finance, and marketing, serving as the primary point of contact for delivering outstanding service and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Work with senior team members to prepare and send requests for proposals to applicable insurance carriers and summarize results as they come in
- Review contracts, benefit plan summaries, and carrier source documents for accuracy under the direction of the Account Executive or Advisor; begin to learn more complex compliance and regulatory policy language
- Create and maintain client files in accordance with office procedures; may be responsible for keeping client policy records
- Respond to client and insurance company questions (e.g., ID cards, claims, billing)
- Develop ongoing client relationships and coordinate with Senior Account Manager, Account Executives or Advisors
- Develop relationships with carrier representatives to understand available products and services and recommend them to clients
- Learn vendor / carrier products and services from more senior team members
- Review and analyze requests for proposals and insurance plan analyses; participate in negotiations with carriers and recommend renewal actions under supervision
- Assist Account Manager in drafting renewal presentations
- Assist with creating and updating benefits-related guides and client education resources
- Learn how to conduct annual client compliance audits using NFP portal and assist more senior Account Managers in preparing documents
- Attend to client requests including product or vendor service or performance challenges
- File form 5500 filings and coordinate as needed
- Participate in client projects such as implementation of new business, open enrollment, non-discrimination testing, under the direction of more senior team members
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual client reports as needed
- Distribute monthly / quarterly newsletters and other briefings and content as appropriate
- Assist with creation of client corporate wellness programs and offerings

Associates degree (or equivalent), and BA / BS preferredMore than 3 years' client service and / or industry and product line experienceCertificates, Licenses, Registration

The base salary range for this position is $45,000 – $85,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
