- Remote Reports to : Chief Executive Officer Overview The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for driving operational excellence and scalable growth across a rapidly expanding multi-sport league that includes baseball, softball, soccer, and volleyball.
This individual will translate strategic goals into actionable plans, oversee daily operations across multiple facilities and regions, and ensure that the organization is positioned for success as it grows both domestically and internationally. While direct sports management experience is not required, a passion for leadership, growth, and operational rigor within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment is essential. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership :
Translate strategic goals into actionable operational plans and lead cross-functional initiatives to drive efficiency, scalability, and consistent execution. Multi-Site Oversight : Oversee day-to-day operations across all functions, facilities, and locations (U.S. and Puerto Rico) to ensure consistency, operational excellence, and alignment with organizational objectives. Performance Management : Establish and lead key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance monitoring systems for teams, leagues, and facilities, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. Financial Stewardship : Partner with the CFO to manage operational budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance; identify opportunities for cost optimization and sustainable revenue growth. Strategic Growth & Expansion : Collaborate closely with the CEO, Acquisitions team, and executive leadership to evaluate, plan, and execute expansion opportunities and new market entry strategies, including international growth. Process & Systems Development : Implement systems, tools, and processes that support growth and ensure operational consistency, safety, and quality across all regions. Culture & People Leadership : Build and lead high-performing teams through strong communication, accountability, and alignment with company values and vision. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, preferably within multi-site, franchise, or growth-oriented organizations. Proven ability to build and scale operational infrastructure and manage cross-functional teams across multiple locations. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Exceptional strategic thinking and execution skills, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
