Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 01 / 12 / 2026 Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Title : Clinical Lab Scientist – Infection Preventionist Location : Spokane, WA Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day – 5×8-hour shifts (08 : 00–16 : 30), Monday–Friday; no weekends, no holidays, no call Job Responsibilities : Serve as an Infection Prevention Specialist supporting multiple acute care service lines, including surgery, NICU, cardiac, critical care, and emergency departments. Conduct infection prevention rounding, provide education, and advise clinical teams on infection control guidelines and best practices. Perform surveillance documentation using Bugsy or similar systems. Analyze infection-related data and report trends to leadership and interdisciplinary teams. Ensure adherence to regulatory infection prevention standards across assigned units. Support infection control initiatives and collaborate with hospital departments to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
