Job Description

We're looking for a hands-on CAD Designer to support an industrial manufacturing site in Millsdale, IL. This person will ensure all engineering drawings are accurate, up to standard, and ready for action. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of detailed design work and field verification.

What You'll Do

  • Create, update, and maintain site drawings using AutoCAD 2020 or newer and FastLook.
  • Develop and revise P&IDs, PFDs, plot plans, and general arrangements.
  • Conduct field walkdowns to verify existing drawings and ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams on updates and drawing transmittals.
  • Support documentation updates for site changes and safety reviews (MOCs, PHAs).

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of CAD design experience in an industrial, chemical, or oil manufacturing environment.
  • Solid drawing creation and revision background.
  • Strong preference for piping and P&ID experience.
  • Electrical drafting knowledge is a plus.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD; MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams) proficiency required.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative.
  • Onsite only (no remote option).
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to perform walkdowns (stairs, ladders, fieldwork).
  • 90-minute onsite interview includes a CAD skills test.
  • Client is looking to fill this role quickly, but only with the right fit.
  • Experience is the most important vs having college degrees.
