LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Emergency Medicine MD in Clewiston, Florida, 33440!

About The Position

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 36-week locum tenens assignment in Florida, starting Jan 5, 2026. The position offers flexible scheduling with 24-hour physician coverage and additional APP support on weekends, serving primarily adult and geriatric patients in a critical access hospital setting.

  • Schedule : 24-hour physician coverage; APP coverage weekends only (Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday 10am-8pm, Sunday 11am-9pm); shifts available as 6x24 or 12x12 monthly; 13-week contract minimum with extension possible

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care for all ages, primarily adults and geriatric patients
  • Stabilize and manage traumatic patients in a non-designated trauma facility
  • Perform all lifesaving procedures, including intubation, ventilator management, and arterial / central line placements
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers during weekend coverage
  • Utilize EPowerDoc for electronic medical records
