Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele Float Pool position in Massachusetts requiring an active MA RN license and at least two years of recent telemetry experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Float Pool of a hospital, providing coverage for Med / Surg Telemetry units
  • Patient population consists of a variety of adult medical-surgical and telemetry cases
  • 12-hour night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage required
  • Must float to similar units and overflow areas as needed
  • Biweekly orientation sessions are provided
  • Daily responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care across multiple Med / Surg Tele units as assigned
  • Pass / Fail ECG / Tele and Medication tests are conducted virtually prior to assignment, with no opportunity for retest
  • Charge Nurse experience is preferred but not required
  • All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
  • Team members are expected to adapt quickly to varied unit assignments
  • Professional development documentation may be requested
  • Returning employees must have a 6-month break from any role within the health system to be eligible

  • Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum two years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry experience
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Ability to pass Telemetry (ECG) and Medication competency exams with an 85% or higher score prior to assignment (one attempt only)
  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster, and Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
  • Applicants must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
  • Must not have worked at the health system as travel, perm, or per diem staff within the last six months
