We work together Monday-Thursday (Fridays remote) at our office in SOMA.

The Role

We are looking for an  AI / ML Engineer  to join our founding technical team. This is not just a model-tuning role - you'll be at the heart of building our entire technical landscape. You'll wear multiple hats : system builder, algorithm designer, infrastructure contributor, and applied researcher.

This role demands strong mathematical intuition, deep algorithmic thinking, and equally strong software engineering capabilities. You’ll be expected to think beyond libraries, understand model internals, and take responsibility for robust, scalable, and performant production-grade ML systems.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement end-to-end ML pipelines from experimentation to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rebuild our core data and ML infrastructure.
• Apply rigorous algorithmic thinking to ML problem solving (e.g., optimization, probabilistic modeling, search, graph algorithms).
• Translate academic ML research into production-ready systems.
• Optimize model performance with hands-on tuning and engineering (data flow, GPU / TPU use, distributed training).
• Own CI / CD for ML workflows (training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring).
• Influence and contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps.
• Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable code across the stack.
